and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths."

Pathways Tech CCTE endorses the principle of equal education and employment opportunities for all people and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, marital status, or non-related handicaps or disabilities.

All high school students shall be given the opportunity for admission to Pathways Tech CCTE (Christian Career and Technical Education). There are no residency requirements, as students will be responsible to obtain their own means of transportation. If student has a history of former unsatisfactory discipline circumstances (as determined by past record review by Pathways Tech CCTE Administration or Counselors), student will, upon special recommendation by the Administrator or Counselor, be accepted on a provisional basis--both student and parents/guardians will be required to sign and agree to a behavior contract. All students applying to Pathways Tech CCTE must understand that the school is Christian-based and all Biblically-integrated assignments and Christian Community Outreach Projects are required as part of the curriculum and must be completed satisfactorily to guarantee ongoing acceptance to the school and vocational career program.

Out-of-school youth and adults will be considered for placement in under-subscribed daytime training programs. Out-of-school youth and adults may enroll in continuing education programs as approved through the Board. There are no residency requirements for admission to adult daytime or evening programs. Adult students must obtain all background clearances.

Students with disabilities who have Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) developed under Section (614)(A) (5) of the Education of the Handicapped Act, shall, with respect to career and technical education programs, be afforded the rights and protection guaranteed such students under sections 612, 614, and 615 of such Act.

A completed application form together with a non-refundable registration fee is required for all students requesting admission to Pathways Tech CCTE. Transcripts are also required from all previously attended educational entities and former behavior disciplinary history involving out-of-school suspension or expulsion must be included.

Admissions to specific career and technical programs will be determined by individual student and/or parent/guardian choice if approved as appropriate placement for the student by the Administrator or Counselor. Any conflict resulting from these procedures will be resolved through an established appeals process.

In cases of program over-subscription, student placement will be based on multiple factors such as total points obtained by student on completion of the Selection and Placement Criteria Form, on former grades, attendance, discipline history, and standardized test scores (in that order).

NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY AS TO STUDENTS

Pathways Tech CCTE admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  Pathways Tech CCTE does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
