The EMT program is a one-year course that will comprise the first year (Level 1) of the Criminal Justice program. Those who successfully complete this training and pass the certifications will receive the state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). This certification will transfer to an EMT license. Pennsylvania guidelines require that students must be at least 16 years of age when they begin EMT training. NOTE: The EMT program can also be taken singularly without enrolling and continuing with the Criminal Justice program. The Criminal Justice program is designed to equip students with the skills required to obtain an entry-level position with a police department (additional training may be necessary), sheriff's office, prison, Emergency Operations Center, Security agency and other law enforcement related organizations. Instruction will be provided in both theory and hands-on format. Guest speakers representing local, state and regional law enforcement and community service agencies will be invited to provide students with timely and accurate information regarding their chosen field. Following successful completion of coursework, students may be eligible to receive career certifications. compassionate basis for our community service projects. Students will participate in outreach
opportunities in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies and ministries.
Through these outreach opportunities our students will develop confidence,
