Instructor, Paraprofessional, Teacher Aide, Counselor, Substitute
Teacher, Office Worker, Maintenance or Custodial Worker, Security
Guard, Volunteer, or any other type of support staff position, we

Because ALL
of the positions at Pathways Tech involve Christian ministry to others,
it is vital that you are called of God to any position that you pursue

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES BEING SOUGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:
Advisory Board Members:
Needed: Advisory Members interested in School Development and Fundraising.
Instructor Needed: Cosmetology
Instructor meeting State Cosmetology Board qualifications to establish
and supervise the Cosmetology Program including reporting
requirements.

***************************************************************** Qualifications & Policy for Hire
- Our board members, administrators, teachers and
staff must all be born-again believers who exemplify the Christian
lifestyle and are prepared to do ministry at a Christian vocational high
school.
- Applicants are required to obtain three Christian Reference Letters,
each attesting to Christian character, quality of vocational ability
in the program area, and work ethic.
- Applicants
must be faithfully attending, actively participating in, and
financially supporting a local, evangelical Church that has a Statement
of Faith in agreement with Pathways Tech's Statement of Faith.
- Applicants are required to sign and agree to abide by the school's Declaration of Moral Integrity document.
- Our
vocational teachers must have a high school graduation diploma or
G.E.D. and a minimum of three year's experience in the specific
trade area they desire to teach. In academic programs and in some
business and technical vocational programs, the Instructor will be
required to have an Associate's degree in the vocational program area
or a Bachelor's teaching degree in that vocational area. Also, some
vocational program areas will require the Instructor to have or obtain
specific vocational certifications necessary for teaching and testing.
- Our
vocational instructors and academic teachers must attend required
teaching induction specific to Pathways Tech as a Christian vocational
high school and attend required continued professional teacher training
classes and workshops to prepare them to take over and conduct a
classroom.
- Instructors
will be required to prepare their own vocational program curriculum
that is Biblically integrated. This curriculum must be presented to and
approved by Administration before any offer of employment is effective.
Administration will set the standard for approval.
- To introduce
a new vocational program area for consideration as a high school
program to be offered, all professional curriculum with intentions and
description of Biblical integration, plus a demographic study of the
feasibility of the program to be offered, must be submitted to
Administration for consideration.
- All applicants to be considered for hire (or
volunteer positions) by Pathways Tech CCTE must have form SP4-164
(Criminal History Record) completed by the state police. As of
April, 2007, an FBI background check is required for applicants for all
positions--applicants must have form FO-253 (FBI Fingerprint Record) completed
and then follow steps for completion of Form SP4-164. These document
requests are in accordance with Act 34 of 1985 enacted by the Pennsylvania
General Assembly.
- Additionally, all applicants to be considered
for hire (or volunteer positions) by Pathways Tech CCTE must have a
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance form completed.
- All clearances as stated in #4 and #5
above must be applied for immediately upon the official offer
of employment and satisfactory results are necessary to complete the offer
of employment.
- An
applicant who has successfully completed the requirements for
application for a vocational or academic teaching position will be
required to undergo a professional interview . No official offer
of employment will be made until the school is officially ready to
financially substantiate an employment offer and physically offer the
course in a prepared and equipped facility.
- Applicants
completing all of the above requirements may be recognized as a
"potential instructor" for a specific vocational or academic course,
but until an official offer is
made (where a contract is signed), they remain an applicant for
consideration and other applicants can be interviewed for the position.
- This school complies with the Immigration Reform
and Control Act of 1986. The hiring of all applicants is contingent
upon their ability to present documents establishing their authorization
to work in the United States.

In addition to the Christian Requirements, Pathways Tech recruitment requirements are equal to or greater than the vocational recruitment requirements and educational policies that are practiced and required in the public school system for vocational teachers.
