Dr. Sandra L. Cook has over 30 years experience working in education. She pursued her college degree after she and her husband, Randy, were married, put it on hold when they became the parents of three dynamic children, and completed her college when the youngest child began kindergarten. Upon obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree from Shippensburg University in Business Education, she began her teaching career as an Instructor of Secretarial Science at Harrisburg Area Community College. She resigned to follow the Lord’s calling to teach at Harrisburg Christian School and developed the initial curriculum for 8th thru 12th grades creating a high school business program. Continuing to pursue God’s leading, she went into public education teaching keyboarding and business applications for 16 years at Dauphin County Vocational Technical School, where she became the advisor to the first high school Christian club in the area. During this same time she and her husband accepted positions as the Youth Leaders at Manada Gap Church where they started out with five teenagers at their first service and had between 80 to 100 teens attending within the first year. In her later teaching years, she felt the instruction of the Lord to obtain further educational degrees to enter into administrative positions in public education. She obtained her Masters in Education from Penn State University in Training and Development, with additional certification in Public Personnel Administration. She then went on to Temple University to obtain her Secondary Principal Certification and, later on, to obtain her Vocational Administrative Director Certification. Sandra held administrative positions at Cumberland-Perry AVTS as the Assistant Principal in charge of Discipline and Child Accounting and then as the Assistant Principal in charge of Student Services. The Lord then led her to the position of Assistant Director of Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School where she was in charge of all staff and all educational activities and policies. August of 2007 she resigned from this position to follow the vision from God to establish Christian vocational high schools. Sandra and her husband, Randy, will be married 50 years on October 28, 2017.
